A white wedding dress symbolizes the purity of the bride. This style became extremely popular after 1840, when Queen Victoria of England wore a white wedding dress at her wedding. Before this event though, many women married in colored dresses! Colors such as blue, red and yellow were popular with women in the upper class.
Still nowadays, white is the standard. As many as 81% of the voters choose ‘white’ as their favorite style for a wedding dress and 19% chose ‘colored’.
We are of course very fond of white, but have also seen more and more beautiful colored dresses appear in recent years. Would you dare to surprise everyone?

This can of course depend on the season and the location of your wedding. If you get married in winter or at a colder location, it can of course be very nice to opt for a more covering wedding dress with sleeves.
Although we mainly see wedding dresses without sleeves, 62% of the participants voted for ‘sleeves’ compared to 38% for ‘bare arms’ as their favorite style.
Perhaps the wedding dress with sleeves is incorrectly seen as non-modern? We would love to show you how stylish, modern and even sexy this style of wedding dresses can be, but of course we also share some of our sleeveless favorites!

We love refinement and romance! And what way to better expressed this than with a romantic wedding dress with lace, tulle or a combination of both? Not only do we love these beautiful fabrics, the voters of our polls couldn’t really choose either!
49% opts for ‘lace’ and a small majority of 51% chooses ‘tulle’. Fortunately, there are also a lot of wedding dresses with both!

You probably won’t see a lot of bling bling on our favorite wedding dresses. But embroidered flowers and beading definitely make our hearts beat faster!
A majority of 61% of the voters agree and choose ‘beading’ as their favorite style of wedding dress.
Of course, a cleaner wedding dress without embellishments can also be stunning! And that is what the other 39% of voters choose as their favorite style of wedding dress.

When you think of a high-necked wedding dress, you may think of royal weddings where the protocol prescribes that someone from the royal family should literally not expose too much skin. Or perhaps you think of more traditional or religious marriages. Still, a high-necked wedding dress can be incredibly modern and just as sexy as a more open dress!
Of course we also love a beautifully deep cut wedding dress! 71% of the voters choose to show a little more skin in their wedding dress, while 29% go with a high-necked style.
