When Dusty Blue’s favorite vendors work together, you can expect something magical to happen! And this is exactly what happened in this romantic editorial that took place on a sunny morning in Amsterdam.
With a beautiful bouquet from Bloom Your Life, silk ribbons from La Lettre and handmade bridal accessories from Elysian, photographer Wike Zijlstra created elegant, romantic scenes at the Rijksmuseum and in the picturesque streets of Amsterdam.
Get inspired for your own elopement or engagement shoot in this beautiful city!
Photographer Wike Zijlstra tells: “Emily is a fashionable bride. She loves Paris, fashion and her motto is ‘less is more’. That is why she opted for a simple, yet chic and elegant midi dress. The beautiful fit accentuates her narrow waist.
On a sunny day, the streets of Amsterdam are such a nice place to stroll through! So we did. We started in the beautiful gardens of the Rijksmuseum: a hidden treasure in this city! The historical elements surrounding the museum reminded us of Paris. This makes this location a perfect fit for Emily.
Florist Marte from Bloom Your Life designed a beautiful bouquet with bright and warm colors and matching silk ribbons from La Lettre. The colors match beautifully with Emily’s red hair!
Her earrings are handmade by Elena van Elysian, as is the hand-painted veil.
After the Rijksmuseum, a change of clothes took place. This second look is also completely in the Parisian style, but also lets you enjoy the Amsterdam culture. Walking through the narrow streets near the Rijksmuseum, you will come across the most photogenic places! Authentic doors and nice stairs; it was a wonderful afternoon, very romantic and full of fun.
What a wonderful city Amsterdam is and the perfect place to celebrate love!”
