Magical sunsets, beautiful nature and delicious wines. A wedding in Florence is fantastic!
More and more bridal couples are choosing to make their wedding a special event for their guests. They don’t choose just one day, but a whole weekend with all their loved ones, to celebrate their love. How great does that sound?
Massimiliano and Felicia also opted for a whole weekend and organized their wedding in and around Florence.
A romantic wedding in Florence, that’s what the couple wanted! So they started in the beautiful Villa Gamberaia. Located in the hills of Florence, the villa offers a great view of the city. It has a luxurious, authentic atmosphere and is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens. We have seen many beautiful wedding locations in Tuscany, but this villa is a true gem!
The large, beautiful rooms are a beautiful setting for the getting ready. And the bride’s amazing collection of wedding shoes, featuring Oscar de la Renta and Manolo Blahnik, make us a little jealous!
Massimiliano and Felicia chose not to get married on the estate of the villa, but in the heart of Florence. For the ceremony, they and their guests were taken to the center of Florence by taxis. Here they got married in the church of San Filippo Neri. The couple opted for minimal decoration to honor the historic building. Only a white carpet and white tulle have been used at the head of each pew. After the beautiful ceremony, the photo shoot took place at Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence.
The bridal bouquet consists of a mix of English white roses and peonies, in ivory colors with a long blush-colored ribbon. In general, the color palette for the wedding is mainly cream and ivory with a hint of blush. Back at Villa Gamberaia, round dinner tables with Chiavari chairs form an elegant and romantic scene. To make it more personal, the couple chose a different city as a theme for each table, which included a nice story about the bridal couple.
After seeing this beautiful Tuscan wedding, you’ll want this for your wedding as well! We are happy to give you these tips to keep in mind if you also want to get married in Florence, or in another part of Tuscany of course:
