Dusty Blue photographer Wike Zijlstra organized a beautiful editorial – with many of our favorite vendors! – at Dudok In Het Park. In the centre of the city, yet surrounded by an oasis of tranquility, her team created a romantic inspiration shoot for a beautiful spring wedding!

In the centre of Rotterdam, between the trees and nature of Het Park, you can completely relax. This is where wedding venue Dudok In Het Park, formerly “Het Heerenhuys”, is located. The historic building was built in 1750 and is located right next to the Euromast. Here it feels like you’ve escaped from the city!
The venue is characterized by its French garden, high windows and remarkable interior in which nature and tranquility flow in from the outside. The hand-painted wallpaper by Snijder & Co is a true eye-catcher!
From Wike: “For the concept of this shoot I used the venue and atmosphere of the interior as a starting point. Green at the base of the color palette, with the sweet spring colors in the flowers creating an attractive scene. Tamarah from The Bridal Blush added a detail of yellow to her creations, which gives a modern and playful effect. The overall remains romantic, which fits perfectly with the venue and the surrounding park.
I immediately fell in love with the dreamy dress with a romantic bow on the back, that bride Gaelle is wearing. The split is ideal for the warmer spring or summer days. By choosing a gray suit for groom Django, the atmosphere of the shoot remains light and romantic. In addition, the gray suit is timeless and looks great on him!
Naomi from Pen to Paper is a great calligrapher and pays a lot of attention to the small details. She also used the wallpaper from Dudok In Het Park as an inspiration for her work. The design is delicate and has a historical touch due to the handmade paper.”
